This push-to-fit straight reducer is a useful water fed hose connection tool, as it can connect two different-sized polyurethane hoses to make the most of the tools you have.

The 5/16 to 1/4 inch version is a replacement fitting for the XERO In-Line TDS Meter. If this piece is lost or damaged, you can easily replace it by simply pushing the meter into the 1/4" end. Then, push your 5/16" hose into the other end. This will allow you to utilize your digital meter spliced between your XERO water fed pole hose and your pure water system to give you the benefit of viewing your TDS levels while cleaning.

Other sizes are available to match your varying hose diameters. When you need to step down the hose size to increase the water pressure, one of these fittings will do the trick. Plus, the push-to-fit is simple to keep hoses secure while in use but easy to remove from them.
